We would like to introduce and welcome Brittany Backman who has volunteered to host The Movement Program. Movement will meet weekly beginning Tuesday, August 19th at 10:30 a.m. Remember that regular movement—through walking, stretching, and light exercise keeps the body agile, supports joint health, and improves balance, all of which are key to preventing injury and maintaining confidence in daily tasks. Please join us for the first program and see what you think!
Dementia Support Group Caregiving for those experiencing dementia can be challenging. We have partnered with the Wyoming Dementia Care Giver Network working through the University of Wyoming. It is their mission to help improve levels of depression, burden, self-advocacy, and empowerment regarding the care givers experience. This Support group is free and will meet twice monthly via Zoom. The KSC will be a site location for the program. The first meeting was successful and community members found it helpful and informative. The next meeting will be on Wednesday, August 27th at 10:30. The topic will be Dental Care for Elders: Caregiver Consideration. Remember we can also assist individuals with joining the meeting from the comfort of their home. There is a bit of a process so please reach out if you would like assistance signing up.
