For events that have limited slots available such as Nails with Angie, Crafts, and Foot Zoning please remember that you will need to signup in advance of the scheduled date while you are visiting the center. If you don’t often get the chance to join us at the center you might make a special trip at the beginning of the month to sign up for the events that you are interested in. Sign up sheets are posted on the bulletin board near the conference room on the first business day of each month. Our sincere hope is that everyone gets an opportunity to experience and participate in the events that our wonderful volunteers are offering.
Senior Community Employment Program
Through AARP Foundation SCSEP (Senior Community Service Employment Program), funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor, a community service and work-based job training program for low-income adults age 55 and older, AARP Foundation equips low-income older adults with skills and resources to build economic opportunity. With AARP Foundation SCSEP, unemployed adults who are 55 and older can keep pace with the changing nature of work by sharpening their job skills through temporary community service work that leads to full-time employment. Join Helena Albers at 11:45 March 3rd at the KSC to see what the program might be able to offer you.

Join Us for Tai Chi March 11th & 23rd @ 11:00
Tai chi is a gentle, mind-body Chinese practice combining slow, flowing movements, deep breathing, and focused attention, often called "meditation in motion," originating as a martial art but now widely practiced for stress relief, balance, and overall well-being, improving both physical health (like balance, pain, blood pressure) and mental clarity. It involves a series of postures (forms) with circular, relaxed movements that promote relaxation, strengthen muscles, and enhance the body's vital energy (Qi).
Auction
Lee Challinor kindly donated several decorative items to the KSC. It was his hope that we could auction them off to benefit the Kemmerer Senior Center. We are excited to announce that the auction will be held on March 18th following lunch. We will do our best to get slides ready so that patrons are able to preview items in the dining room in the weeks leading up to the auction. We would like to say THANK YOU to Lee Challinor.
Lincare CPAP Check
Nicole from Lincare will be at the center on March 30th at 11:00. Please feel free to bring your CPAP machine. They will perform checks and answer questions you may have regarding pulmonary services provided by Lincare.
